Russia Greeters welcome you

Russia Greeters are volunteers who are passionate about sharing their love for their city with visitors from around the world. A Greeter will welcome you and take you on a 2-4 hours walk in the city free-of-charge, showing you places, neighborhoods, and off-the-beaten-track spots. You will see the city through the eyes of a local while hearing personal stories, anecdotes, cultural aspects, and experience the city in its authenticity. Read more …

Saint Petersburg

Saint Petersburg

Saint Petersburg Greeters do not waste time giving long descriptions of places as if reading aloud a thick dryly written guidebook. We do not stuff the tourist’s memory with a huge lot dates and figures which some official guides are often tempted to do.We are not guides, but hospitable hosts who can’t wait to show our guest to everything we love about Saint Petersburg and all that we are proud of in it.With us the traveler does not walk along the beaten path paved by tour operators, but mingles with the locals and takes part in their everyday life.He is no longer an observer who watches the city from behind a tourist bus window.

Sorry, Saint Petersburg Greeters are temporarily unavailable.

Volgograd

Volgograd

Founded in 1589 as a fortress, Volgograd (then Tsaritsyn) gradually grew into an important river-port. ‎Stalingrad (renamed in 1925) was a fast growing urban centre when the World War II began. One of the ‎longest and deadliest battles in the history of the warfare raged here in 1942-1943. Quickly rebuilt and ‎revived after the war, it became vibrant again. Now Volgograd is the capital of the region with 1 million ‎residents. It offers many visitor attractions including the famous Mamayev Kurgan. ‎
