Svezia Greeters welcome you

Svezia Greeters are volunteers who are passionate about sharing their love for their city with visitors from around the world. A Greeter will welcome you and take you on a 2-4 hours walk in the city free-of-charge, showing you places, neighborhoods, and off-the-beaten-track spots. You will see the city through the eyes of a local while hearing personal stories, anecdotes, cultural aspects, and experience the city in its authenticity. Read more …

La Svezia è un paese oblungo, ricco di terreni agricoli a sud e di montagne a nord. In inverno c’è la neve, e lo sci è popolare, e l’estate è calda e si può andare a nuotare. Il paese ha una lunga linea costiera, circondata dall’acqua, con arcipelago sia sulla costa orientale che occidentale. In totale ci sono 10 milioni di abitanti, e Stoccolma è la capitale. La Svezia è un paese antico, con le sue radici risalenti all’epoca vichinga, e quindi c’è un sacco di cultura antica e luoghi storici da visitare. In tutto il paese c’è una natura incantevole, e il diritto di accesso pubblico permette a tutti di goderne.

Lund was founded by the Danish king Harald Bluetooth in the end of 960th or beginning of 970th, which makes it the oldest city in Sweden. During the Danish medieval time, Lund was the archbishop papal center for 500 years. There were 22 churches and four monasteries. The city was part of the Danish kingdom for almost 700 years, and Swedish the last 360 years.



Strängnäs is an inviting city by the lake Mälaren, with wll preserved buildings that survived the big fire ‎‎1871. Since 1120 Strängnäs is a bishopseat. The cathedral and buildings around remind us about ‎different periods of time (ex. the Vikings). The center has many restaurants and different kinds of ‎shopping and a nice harbor. Strängnäs – Eden of Sweden. You can easily come here by train from ‎Stockholm (50 min 80 km).‎
