How to set up a new Greeter organization
It is great that you are interested to start a new Greeter organization in your city or region!
The International Greeter Association is the democratic organization of Greeters around the world. We ask new members to meet with these four requirements:
- Agree to the IGA core values
The IGA core values describe what Greeters around the world stand for. With the final membership application this document has to be accepted formally. - Be a group of Greeters
A minimum of five Greeters (or three for the start) secures the stability of the local Greeter service.
In our experience you will have no problems getting a group together. Many of your family, friends, colleagues or neighbors will find the Greeter concept fascinating and therefore be willing to participate. - Have a dedicated website
You can build your own dedicated website or use a free presentation on our website. - Join Facebook group “IGA network managers”
A closed Facebook group “IGA network managers” serves as a channel for exchanging information among Greeter organizations and from the IGA Board to the members.
