Valencia highlights include the iconic, futuristic City of Arts and Sciences, the Cathedral, the Central Market or the Silk Exchange, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The city is renowned as the birthplace of paella and is full of green spaces, such as the extensive Turia Gardens (a former riverbed) and the nearby Albufera Park. Visitors can also enjoy the lively beaches, the charming streets of El Carmen neighborhood, or the spectacular Fallas (in March, although there are two museums about them).
