Come and explore Karachi, a colossal city sitting on the sea front where diverse civilizations gather amid an energetic culture rich in history. Experience the character of the city with Karachi Greeters, a team of volunteers eager to share their enthusiasm for the place. These free walking visits are a fantastic opportunity to stray from the typical tourist path rather than walk the usual route.

Meander through the bustling environment of the Empress Market, a colonial building filled with lively traders or soak up the sea air at Clifton Beach, one of the most popular plazas. Your Greeter will guide you through the city‘s less obvious corners; they could be a quiet mosque, a grand colonial style building entrance or an amazing street food. Find out from the locals about the city‘s past and have an experience to remember!

A walk in Karachi just for you and completely free of charge
During an individual walk just for you, your friends or family (a maximum party of 6) -we call them Greets- , a volunteer of Karachi Greeters will show you their city as they would a friend. They love to show their city to visitors and enjoy meeting people from all over the world. There is no tipping involved and no large groups. Your walk will be tailored specifically to you and your interests.

Remember: A Greet means meeting a local resident to walk around town with you as new friends. The first step will be to talk to the Greeter about the details of your personalized tour. It's not about taking part in a standardized tour, but about exploring the city with an expert volunteer .

Maximum six people!

Our core value #2 reads "Greeters welcome individuals and may serve small groups of up to six people."
The reason is that each Greet should be an opportunity to talk to each other and that seems impossible in bigger groups.
Also important: we do not mingle people from different requests but serve only you (and your friends).

Free service, no tipping

Our core value #3 reads "Meeting a Greeter is free of charge."
We do not follow a "give what you think is ok (but please give)" strategy. Greeters honestly do not like any tipping because what they give comes from their heart not because of any tipping expectation.
