Bath is built on seven hills, like Rome, and is named after the hot springs that attracted the Romans during the 1st century. Legend has it that the mineral waters cured Bladud, the father of King Lear, of leprosy. Its historical importance is underlined by the size of the Abbey where Edgar the Peaceful was crowned King of all England in 973 AD. The Georgians came here for the marriage market and left the iconic architecture for which the city was awarded World Heritage status by UNESCO.

Dover is a small town with a huge history. The Harbour is a busy ferry port, welcoming cruise ships and pleasure craft of all sizes. Dover Castle founded in the 11th century has been described as “The Key to the Kingdom”. It sits on top of the White Cliffs of Dover and looks across the English Channel to France.
