We, the Salzburg Greeters, aim to showcase aspects of Salzburg through very personal encounters with our guests – aspects that newcomers to the city might not even be aware of. Mozart, The Sound of Music, and the city’s other world-famous attractions may come up during our Greets, but they don’t have to. It’s best if we meet at a favourite spot – for example, a traditional coffeehouse or beer hall – where we can have a good chat and discover topics and places that are of particular interest to our guests.
We want to offer friendly experiences that become highlights of your vacation. All of this without tips, thanks solely to Austrian hospitality. Be our guest—let us surprise you!

Il nostro valore fondamentale n. 2 recita: "I visitatori accolgono gli individui e possono servire piccoli gruppi fino a sei persone".
La ragione è che ogni Greet dovrebbe essere un'opportunità per parlare tra di loro e questo sembra impossibile in gruppi più grandi.
Inoltre è importante: non mescoliamo persone di diverse richieste ma serviamo solo voi (e i vostri amici).

Il nostro valore fondamentale n. 1 "I Greeters sono volontari, un volto amichevole per chi visita una città/destinazione".
È vero: i nostri Greeters amano la loro città o paese e sono orgogliosi di condividerlo con gli ospiti.
Come scoprire meglio i punti più interessanti di un luogo?
Servizio gratuito, nessuna mancia
Il nostro valore fondamentale n. 3 reads "L'incontro con un Greeter è gratuito". Non seguiamo una strategia del tipo "dai quello che pensi vada bene (ma per favore dai)".
I Greeter onestamente non amano le mance perché quello che danno viene dal loro cuore e non a causa di un'aspettativa di mancia.

Andreas was amazing from our first contact through our entire greet. He was very easy to communicate with on line before we met and during the entire “greet”. I think I was very lucky to get involved with Salzburg greeters as they start to ramp up so he was able to provide an abundance of detail and time. It is always fun for me to be able to talk with people who live in the areas I visit. He offered suggestions for dining as well as how to organize my visit. We hiked a bit and biked a bit as well as walking through all the secret points of the old city. I think all my future International Greeter visits in other cities will be a mere shadow of what the Salzburg Greeters provided. Thank you Andreas! Please come to Seattle so I can be your Greeter there.
Der Spaziergang mit Michael samt Einkehr im Biergarten über den Dächern Salzburgs war eine wunderbare Begegnung für unsere Familie – zum einen mit Salzburg, aber auch mit Michael. Wir haben viel Wissenswertes, Interessantes und Lustiges über die Stadt erfahren und durch die Tour Ecken gesehen, die wir ohne unseren Greeter sicherlich nicht gesehen hätten. Eine wunderbare Erfahrung
