Tongeren-Borgloon Greeters warmly welcome you in the oldest city of Belgium.
It’s also the story of two cities with a turbulent but vibrant history. One was in the Principality of Liège, and the other was in the county of Loon. So, are they enemies? They used to be… but now they are best friends !
During our walks through one of these two cities you will discover emblematic historical personages with their legends, fascinating museums, surprising art, but also nice spots in a marvellous nature!
You haven’t really seen Tongeren-Borgloon until you’ve visited its landmarks. From the Basilica of Our Lady, Ambiorix on the Grote Markt, the Saint Odulphus Church with its minimalist intervention ‘Halo’, to the picturesque streets of the UNESCO Saint Catharine beguinage, the medieval ramparts, and so much more… Our sights are iconic places that will amaze you!
There are also several walking routes in and around the city of Tongeren-Borgloon. Hesbaye is also known for its network of signposted cycle paths. Let yourself be seduced by the soul of Limburg Hesbaye, a treasure trove of traditions and breathtaking landscapes.
