Discover Lund, a charming Swedish city where history and youthful exuberance blend seamlessly. Get to know this city with the free service provided by Lund Greeters. These local volunteers give you an insight into everything that makes this place so unique.
They take you on a walk through the city to places you wouldn’t necessarily find with a guidebook and tell you local stories about everything from the city’s roots to its current home to many students who make it such a lively place. Visit the thousand-year-old Lund Cathedral or stroll among exotic plants in the tranquil Botanical Garden. With the informative and hospitable Lund Greeters, exploring Lund is a great way to discover the city.

Hinweis: Ein Greet bedeutet, einen Einheimischen zu treffen, und mit ihm oder ihr wie mit einem Freund die Stadt zu erkunden. Als erstes besprecht ihr die Details dieser persönlichen Tour. Es gibt keine Standardtouren, sondern du wirst zusammen mit einem Freiwilligen, der sich auskennt, die Stadt kennenlernen.
Maximal sechs Personen!
Unser Grundwert Nr. 2 lautet: "Greeter begrüßen einzelne Gäste bzw. sehr kleine Gruppen bis maximal 6 Personen.
Im Vordergrund steht der Dialog zwischen Greeter und Gast." Der Grund dafür ist, dass jeder Greet eine Gelegenheit sein sollte, miteinander zu reden, und das scheint in größeren Gruppen unmöglich.
Wichtig ist auch, dass wir nicht Menschen aus verschiedenen Anfrage zusammenwürfeln, sondern nur Dich (und Deine Freunde) begrüßen.
Triff einen Einheimischen
Unser Grundwert Nr. 1 lautet: "Greeter arbeiten ehrenamtlich, sie bereiten all Ihren Besuchern einen freundlichen Empfang." Das stimmt: Unsere Greeter lieben ihre Stadt oder ihren Ort und sind stolz darauf, dies mit den Gästen zu teilen. Wie könntest Du die interessantesten Orte einer Stadt besser entdecken?
Kostenlose Tour, kein Trinkgeld
Wir verfolgen nicht die Strategie "Gib am Ende, was du für richtig hältst (aber bitte gib)". Die Greeter mögen ehrlich gesagt kein Trinkgeld, weil das, was sie geben, von Herzen kommt und nicht aufgrund einer Trinkgelderwartung.

We were very pleased with the arrangement. Our greeter has planned a 1½ hour tour in the old town, and he took us places we never would have found ourselves – among that the remaining of the first church in Lund. Our greeter had a huge knowledge of the history of Lund and the told about it in a very inspiring and enthusiastic way. We had a great tour in the old town.
Me and my mother were shown around by two lovely locals in the beautiful town of Lund and we had a great experience. Our greeters were well prepared and enthusiastic about the tour and showing us some hidden gems of the town. They also recommended an excellent lunch spot for us where we went back to. Overall we had a great time and recommend fellow tourists to make use of this fantastic initiative!
