Strängnäs is an inviting city by the lake Mälaren, with wll preserved buildings that survived the big fire ‎‎1871. Since 1120 Strängnäs is a bishopseat. The cathedral and buildings around remind us about ‎different periods of time (ex. the Vikings). The center has many restaurants and different kinds of ‎shopping and a nice harbor. Strängnäs – Eden of Sweden. You can easily come here by train from ‎Stockholm (50 min 80 km).‎

Mannheim

The Paris Greeters are volunteer ambassadors, they have the desire to show their city to visitors ‎from all over the world. They offer them free ‎walks around Paris and its surrounding districts‎. ‎Meetings between local ‎‎ residents and visitors are based upon a shared experience and ‎mutual ‎discovery of one another and their respective cultures‎. ‎A walk with a ‎greeter is the ‎opportunity to see Paris through the eyes of a local and to ‎‎discover it away from the beaten track ‎with warmth and enthusiasm‏.‏

Boulogne

Boulogne adjoins Paris and is, of course, connected quickly and easily by ‎the Paris Metro. From the stunning heritage of the Albert Kahn Museum ‎and its gardens to the traditional quaint neighbourhoods with their famous ‎architecture of the Thirties, Boulogne offers something for everyone. ‎Vibrant, colourful, fun and free, Boulogne combines the energy of Paris ‎and freedom of peaceful green spaces within and around the city limits. ‎

Pas-de-Calais

‎« Greeters made in Pas-de-Calais » is an initiative of the Pas-de-Calais ‎Tourist Board, based on a concept from New York “Big Apple Greeters”, ‎who offer tourists the opportunity to meet with a local inhabitant who ‎shows him around and speaks to him about “his” neighbourhood, “his” ‎town, about which he is enthusiastic and proud. For the visitor, the meeting ‎with this « friend » is an enriching experience. The « Greeters made in ‎Pas-de-Calais » service is completely free of charge.‎
